Berta Lázaro is an architect, urban designer, and researcher known for her innovative work in participatory urban design and alternative educational methodologies. She co-founded TEAMLABS/, where she leads the Barcelona team to cultivate a community of “teampreneurs.” Lázaro also founded Citizen Urbanism in 2011, focusing on collaborative design in urban spaces. She holds a Master’s in Urban Design from UC Berkeley and a specialization in Landscape Architecture from ETSAUN. Currently, she is a PhD researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, with a diverse portfolio of projects in Spain, the USA, Morocco, and Singapore.
