Biography
David Afonso is a Portuguese architect and PhD student at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon. His research focuses on creating new methodologies that bridge the gap between art and science in structural design, analysis, and construction.
David’s most recent research involves developing a methodology to transpose, analyze, and manipulate physical models of form-finding into the digital environment. His work aims to enhance the integration of artistic and scientific approaches in architectural and structural design, contributing to innovative solutions in the field.
