Biography

Dr. Josep Maria Bosch Aymerich (18.09.1917 – 16.02.2015) was a prominent Catalan industrial engineer, architect, and businessman, born in Girona in 1917 and passed away in Barcelona in 2015. He was a key figure in the architectural and business development of Catalonia.

Bosch Aymerich studied industrial engineering and architecture at the University of Barcelona and later furthered his studies at Harvard and MIT in the United States, where he was the first Spaniard to graduate. Throughout his career, he was responsible for numerous significant projects, including founding the Institute of North American Studies in Barcelona and playing a crucial role in establishing the SEAT factory in the city. He also developed the Masella ski resort and made important contributions to the real estate sector, including the construction of more than 5,000 homes and the development of projects in Manchester and London.
