Adolfo Sotelo

Adolfo Sotelo (1953) is a professor of History of Spanish Literature at the University of Barcelona and currently serves as the dean of the Faculty of Philology.

Adolfo Sotelo has been a professor at the University of Barcelona since 1993. He is the principal investigator of the research project “History of Spanish Literary Criticism (1868-1975)”, funded by the Ministry of Education, Universities, Research, and Development. He has been contributing to literary and artistic criticism for twenty years in La Vanguardia and has published articles in leading Spanish and foreign literary magazines. Sotelo has edited works by prominent authors such as Juan Valera, Perez Galdos, Leopoldo Alas “Clarin”, Miguel de Unamuno, Américo Castro, Camilo José Cela, and Carmen Martin Gaite.
