Biography
Nicolas Descharnes is the founder and administrator of the D & D photography library and the Eccart company. He was educated and studied architecture in Paris and continues to fulfill his duty of memory in the Descharnes & Descharnes photobank. He collaborates with his father, Robert Descharnes, in the expertise of the originals of Salvador Dalí. Nicolas’s extensive experience in organizing events dedicated to Dalí and his work has endowed him with a dynamic knowledge in the service of exceptional memory and an eye for expertise research.
Expertise in the field requires not only experience and knowledge of the artwork but also an understanding of the artist himself. Nicolas spent years in Cadaques and frequently met Salvador Dalí during work sessions, allowing him to develop a profound connection to the artist’s work. For Nicolas, each picture speaks for itself, tells a story, and becomes part of a larger narrative.
