Biography
Dr. Li Guo Qiang is a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University. He also serves as the editor-in-chief for the Chinese Journal of Progress in Steel Building Structures, the International Journal of High-Rise Buildings, and the International Journal of Steel Structures. He also serves as the Chairman of China Association for Fire-Resistance of Steel Construction and a vice-chairman of China Association of Construction Standardization. Professor Li’s research has been mainly in the area of hazard mitigation for multi-story and high-rise steel buildings, including earthquake-resistance, fire-resistance, and blast-resistance. He is the author or co-author of 13 technical books and more than 500 journal papers in Chinese and English.
